Course Title: Major Project Course Code: MN402 Groups: A & B Year: 5 Credits/Duration: 3/1semester Total Hours: 60 Pre-requisites: Successful completion of at least 50 upper level credit Supervisors: Sandra O’Meally & Lloyd Waller
General Objectives The Major Project is a final product which should demonstrate your applicability of the knowledge, skills, understanding and competencies gained from all the modules offered in the B.Sc. Business Administration Programme. The project involves teamwork, data collection, data analysis, data interpretation and report writing. The proposed project and the name of the organization must be presented to and approved by the Project Supervisor(s). The organization’s management, in which the intervention/study will be conducted must, approve/accept the project proposal. Although the project is primarily a learning exercise it must be able to contribute to the professional operation of the organization or can be utilized as a best practice model for other organizations. The areas that the intervention can address are as follows:
· Marketing · Human Resource · Management Information System · Industrial Relations · Production and Operations Management · International Business Management · Business, Government & Society · Small Business Entrepreneurship A minimum of five (5) and a maximum of seven (7) students will be allowed in each group Procedure 1 The duration of the project is 12 weeks beginning Sunday, October 30, 2005 2 Students will be assigned a supervisor who will provide consultative guidance throughout the project.
3 Representatives from each group must meet with the supervisor on Sundays at a specified time during the 12 week period. In instances all group members will be required to be present.

Each group: - must submit a written report on the project – February 5, 2006 - must orally present the results of the project – Sunday, February 5, 2006
5 A schedule of activities at the start of the project. 6 A weekly log of activities, evaluation reports and comments of the supervisor(s).
Oral Presentation The oral presentation, which should be supported by a Powerpoint presentation, will be made on Sunday, February 5, 2006. The maximum length of each presentation is 20 minutes. No more than four (4) persons are required to delivery the presentation.
Student Assessment/Mark Scheme Students will be assessed in the following areas:
Proposal 20% Oral Presentation 30% Written Presentation 50%
Report Guidelines – Written and Oral Written Presentation 1. A minimum of 4000, double spaced, Times New Roman 12 2. Follow the required format of the institution 3. Follow the APA format for footnote, endnotes, citations & bibliograph
